Why this philosophy?

I have read the Bible for over 30 years and studied it during that time. I have found the teachings of Jesus Christ to be the clearest and best teachings available.

A breakdown of my philosophy

Each person has a purpose - When God created mankind He gave man a job to do (Gen 2:15 And the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to do work in it and take care of it.) When God called Jeremiah He told him he gave him a purpose before he was born. Jer 1:5 Before you were formed in the body of your mother I had knowledge of you, and before your birth I made you holy; I have given you the work of being a prophet to the nations. (BBE) Although all people have a purpose, this becomes higher when they turn toward God and become a follower of Jesus Christ. Rom 12:2 And let not your behaviour be like that of this world, but be changed and made new in mind, so that by experience you may have knowledge of the good and pleasing and complete purpose of God. (BBE)
Each person has intrinsic value - Although the Bible teaches we are fallen creatures, and have committed crimes against God, He made a way of salvation by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the price (our fine) for us by dying on the cross. As a basic law of economics is a thing is worth what someone will pay for it this shows God gives us a great price. In other words, from God's perspective, we have great value. Rom 5:8 But God has made clear his love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave his life for us. (BBE) However we can choose to ignore this by turning our backs on God.
Each person is unique - We can look around at creation and see amazing variety and this is reflected in each person too. Two verses in the Bible that reflect that are: Psa 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. (KJV) Mat 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. (KJV)
Each person naturally wants to learn - right from a very early age we naturally explore the world around us. Jesus understood that we all want to learn and fulfilled the role of a teacher. For instance He once said "But you go and learn what the scripture means when it says I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." (Mat 9:13) This indicates Jesus is teaching not just a theoretical knowledge or memorising of facts, but learning that changes the way we do things.
Each person has creative ability - in the Bible and around us we find many who are especially creative. In Exodus 35:30-35 we find Bezalel who had some great practical creative ability. We will not have the same creative ability as others, but we all in our own way show creativity. For example, some create welcoming environments (the gift of hospitality) and others can create order out of disorder.
